I have learnt that you can, but not if you’re only using traditional relaxation cures, sporadic yoga, healing courses, consuming entertainment or engaging on media, food or wine escapism.
That’s why I practice a holistic approach to burnout repair, which means that I look at how all areas of your life are connected to your body intelligence. Does stress at your job or in your relationship cause you to overeat? Does lack of sleep or low energy prevent you from exercising? Are you developing gut, hormonal or other issues after being under a lot stress? Is your busy schedule making you angry, depressed or anxious? As we work together, we will look at how all parts of your life affect your health as a whole.
My approach is not to “Do more” but to “Do what matters”. With me, you’ll look at the landscape of your life and see what needs to be prioritized for you to experience joy and vitality again. I focus on practical techniques like breath work and “food medicine” in my plans because I know you want fast results, and the body when given the right tools delivers results real fast. I work with my clients to create a map to the “Innate body technology” for stress self regulation. This creates a sustainable, enjoyable and healthy life in a way that is flexible for successful women in leadership positions.
Together we’ll work to repair your burnout by working in areas such as achieving optimal energy levels, reducing food cravings, managing stress, increasing sleep, and maximizing mental focus. Breath work, mindfulness and self study: Calibrating your nervous system is an imperative to be able to recover your sense of wellbeing, energy and balanced emotions. The practices of breath initiated movement and techniques such as EFT, meditation and self inquiry are the practical means I use to help my clients. These practices support the rest and digest response and avoid the onset of the fight, flight or freeze response that most modern humans are triggering on a regular basis. I apply breath patterns and mindfulness tools in a way that allows the individual to build their own practice to the point that it becomes a lifestyle choice. The results go from a calmer mind to healthier health markers such as heart health or hormonal balance and of course, harmonious relationships at work and home.
Somatic Technologies: Scientific research supports disciplines like yoga, Tai Chi and Qi Gong as solutions for an overwhelm nervous system and a strong and flexible body. Within those traditions there are many activating movements that can, combined with proper breathing patterns and visualizations bring a person out of the stress response in a matter of minutes. The secret is in the way your brain interprets your body movements. Some movements and habitual postures signal worry, fear and danger and many of the modern typing, seating, driving, etc. trigger them all day long. Similarly, some body postures speak to the brain of joy, safety and confidence. This is a form of somatic technology you will be able to apply so you can “tell your brain” to manufacture a chemical cocktail of feel good messengers practically on command.
